...and yeah it does matter because normally a sudden death playoff at the U.S open starts on hole number 1. If it was played at number one Roco would have had a much better chance, considering how he had averaged par on this hole. Also Tiger Woods had averaged almost double bogey on this hole so it would have put Mediate at a much better advantage. Since when has a sudden death playoff hole ever started at hole number 7?

Can people loose weight playing golf?

if so, how many calories per 2 hrs of golf. Is golf a sport for people wanting to gain weight?

  2. Have you heard of the thing called Television? Do you know the bucks they contribute to the prize fund? They want to televise close to the clubhouse and the route chosen was close to the clubhouse and not in the boondocks. So what is wrong with that?

  3. Each course has its sudden-death holes laid out in advance, generally chosen to minimize the walking. If you look at the layout of Torrey Pines, the tee area for 7 is pretty close to the 18th green. Looking at the layout, I would guess that if 7 was tied, they would have done 8, then 18, and repeated.

  4. I have never seen a sudden death started at the first hole and the sudden death hole was already chosen before the tourny started

  5. I think it was because it is the 3rd longest hole and then they do 8 and 18 because they are the 2nd and longest holes.

  6. the 7th is closest to the 18th green
