How come human beings are so much more evolved than all others animals on Earth?

We're even far more evolved than all the other ape families, so why/how is this possible?

  1. We are just as "evolved" as any other species on this planet.  Every single species from bacteria to blue whales has taken the same time to evolve to it's present state.

What you want to ask is "Why are we so much smarter?", and again the answer is "we're not."  There are many species that are better able to survive in their environment than we are.  There are even a dozen or so species that could give our intelligence a run for it's money if we'd just figure out a way to test it.

Look at it this way.  To a Raccoon (or Lion, or dolphin) we are lacking in basic survival tools that it thinks are important to life.  To them, we are "less evolved" than they.

  2. The problem here is in your use of the word, "evolved."

Humans may have the highest intelligence, though i would not consider them to be the most highly evolved animals on earth.

Many lower species are truly evolved to their habitats, very specialized and able to live in environments we would consider "hostile."

There are many situations that higher intelligence can solve.  Living on a planet that may undergo serious physical changes in the next centuries will test your statement.

It may be that the lesser life forms fare much better than we!

  3. Basically larger frontal lobes of the brain give us the capacity for more complex thought/tasks.

  4. Seems to me, dairy cows have evolved the fastest.

A cow today would have a tight fit into a stall of a barn of the 1940's.

A hundred years ago, she would never have the production todays cows have.  I agree with the Sci guy, your first answer.

  5. That's your perspective, not actually the case though.  Many species inhabiting Earth now are at their evolutionary end point.  Just because humans are more intelligent does not mean they are more evolved or near the end point of the evolution.  Perhaps a visit to this site might help you understand.

My personal opinion is that humans are at the end of their natural evolution.  Any and all effects occurring now are artificial and man made.  Like genetic engineering.

  6. Humans are actually very generalized animals. We have five digits per limb and walk on the entire foot, for example. Compare that to a horse or, if you want a really specialized animal, to a hummingbird. The only way you could consider yourself more evolved is through ego.

"Animals are classified thusly, Man and the Lower Animals. Man does the classifying."

  7. I don't wanna sound like a Bible basher, but I recommend you have a read of the Bible. It'll help you understand how human beings came to be and how the Earth did as well. All the best! :)

Also, if you have any questions about it have a chat to a local Pastor, I'm sure they'll be more than happy to talk to you.

  8. It really depends on what perspective you look at it.

Some animals have far better hearing than us humans, and some people may think that they are highly evolved.

I don't believe in evolution, though. He made us superior to all things because He loved us so much. I guess that's my explanation.

  9. Depends how you look at it. Can you hang upside down from a branch by your tail?

  10. Calling humans "more evolved" is meaningless.  Yourself, a worm and a bacteria all have a chain of ancestors reaching back to somewhere like 3.8 billion years.  You're all products of broadly the same number of generations.

  11. Simple, they're not.
