How come i can't get extremely fat (not that i want to)?

everytime i eat whatever i want without limits and not exercise, i don't gain more than 5-6 pounds. my face becomes rounder and my stomach bulges out into a beer belly. that's about it. i don't look any different with clothes on unless you see me naked with that disgusting beer belly then i look fat. no matter how much i eat i won't look like roseann barr or nikki blonsky or any of those fat celebrities. im thankful for that but why?

  2. Each of us has a different metabolism, so some are more prone to weight gain than others. Also, we each store fat in different areas, but generally the belly is the first place to do so, since that's where all our vital organs are, thus that's where the body needs reserves for emergency energy, or for insulating warmth to keep the organs functioning.

    Part of your lack of weight gain are your habits. Eating whenever you feel hungry is actually the BEST way to keep from gaining weight! All people who starve themselves to lose weight usually fail because, if you don't eat enough, your body thinks there's a famine going on and thus it STORES FAT! If you eat a bite here and there throughout the day though, then it figures "Hey, plenty of food around, I don't need to store fat", thus it doesn't.

    So you do it right. Just do some aerobic and abdominal exercises (would just add muscle tone; you don't lose fat in the area you exercise, so exercise your whole body too and it'll still burn the fat) and cut down on sweets some (though not getting "sugar free" artificially sweetened stuff... those actually CAUSE weight-gain and cause lotsa health problems), and you can lose the beer belly. More fiber n fruits n veggies n stuff can help a lot.

  6. You have a fast metabolism. As you get older your metabolism will slow down so you need to learn how to eat healthy and exercise correctly now or you will balloon into a fatty later in life. Also belly fat is the worse kind of fat to gain. It increase your risk for heart attack. Best to stay in shape and not gain it. ;)
