How come i can't move my icons around my desktop?

i tried to click and move them and it seems to not wanna move!

  1. Are you using Windows XP?  If so, right click on the background and select Arrange Icons... then make sure they're not auto-arranging themselves or locked in position


  2. your icons might be locked right click your desktop to try to unlock them
