How come i can't see this color?

On a computer there are some things highlighted in a very light shade of green . when staring directly at the highlighted words i can't see the green but when staring somewhere else i can see the green on my computer from the corner of my eyes. How Come?

  1. It has to do with the rods and cones in your eye. These are the sensory cells in your retina. Some see certain colors and light better straight on, some see certain colors and light better from the periphery. That is simply put, you can look up "rods and cones" and get more complex answers by researching it yourself. I am not going to get technical on you here! LOl Have a fantastic 4rth!
