How come i cant download anything?

How come my computer wont let me download anyhting? its soo stupid! when i go to download/install sumthing a messege pops up saying internet has stopped working and is restarting. Please help me and tell me what and where to do or go. thnx!!

Which browser are you using?  Get someone to download Mozilla firefox if you don't have it already.  Install it and then try to download with it.  If you're using internet explorer then try going to control panel and double click internet options.  Click advanced and restore defaults and try downloading again.  If that don't work then right click on Internet Explorer and start without add-ons.  If you can download with out add-ons then you have a program that is corrupt and you will have to do a process of elimination to find out which one.  If you find out which one it is then disable it.  I know its a bit technical but I hope this helps.
