How come i cant play dvd-r in my dvd player?

Question

i am using dvd shrink to "backup" my movies and i get them coppied fine and i burn them fine they play in my computer perfectly but when i put them into my dvd player it says unknown disk i also tryed it in my PS2 and the same thing happened

do i need to encrypt them some how please help

Well first of all using DVD shrink in the USA is illegal so assuming that you live outside the united states you will have to use DVD shrink to rip the files then use another program like nero to burn them.  It may also be that your dvd player does not play dvd-r discs, check to see what your player supports.

maybe put it in to your computer because that has a dvd player too.
