How come im not noticing any ewcm?

I know that this indicates ovulation, but im not noticing any. i look at the toliet paper everytime i go and im not noticing anything. Is something wrong?? or do some just not notice this? We r on our 2nd month of ttc for our 2nd. My last period was july 24th and normally r 32 or 33 day cycles but this last month was 39 days, so we had s*x aug 7,11,13,15,17, and will again have s*x 2night the 20th. Because im no sure when im ovulating due to my last cycle running a week late. I was trying to check by cervical mucus but im not noticing any. We r gonna try OPKs next month if it doesnt happen this month, but do i got a goodchance this month? even though im not noticing any ewcm? and also when should i try and take a hpt if i dont know when i ovulated?
