How come in Tokyo it snows a lot, but in San Francisco it doesn't?

although Tokyo and San Francisco are at about the same lattitude and altitude?

  3. Nope, Apple Pie Girl, you are in error. Its neither the same altitude nor the latitude. (You know I actaully checked the world map). The reason for the snow is the two geographics in the two places.
