How come in/on TV Political ads today, you hear the candidate say I’m so and so and I support this message?

Why and when did they start doing this? I find it annoying as h**l. Thanks!

  1. If you don't see that it means someone else made the ads without their consent.


  2. I think it's so they can use soft money to fund the add.  Politicians love soft money because there are fewer constraints on it than on hard money.

  3. It's required by law.

  4. The idea came out so anyone or any group can run any political ad without the previous consent of the candidate.  This way the candidate, to defend himself cannot say, as it happened in the past, "I didn't know"....

  5. The McCain ad's are really getting to me....boring old dude. We do not need 4 more years of another Bush Administration
