Question:

How come in the dark, everything looks black and white?

It's just a random question that I though of a couple nights ago.

Also, can you answer in a way that wouldn't have to make a 13 year old have to consult a dictionary for every other word! (lol, Y!A thinks this should go under the Beauty and Style Category-WHY?)

  2. light gives of different beams of color, the color reflects on the items in the room you are looking at. so when it is dark, there is no light on the items hence, no color.

  3. Just to add to what Coolcat said I will say that there is n't enough light energy in a darkened area (by definiition) to activate the rod cells in our eyes.

  4. Yahoo thinks you are matching outfits! LOL! The real answer is you have cells in your eyes called rods and cones cones see in bright light and colour and rods vica versa. In a dark room only your rod cells were working so you could only see in black and white. Glad to help!
