How come in the morning I can see the lining of my abs?

How come in the morning I can see the lining of my abs but when I go through the day I can't see them anymore because my tummy is like hanging out..? And how can I pretend my tummy from sticking out?

  1. You're at your thinnest int he morning because you've been digesting all night without eating or drinking anything.  You're also your least gassy, for the same reason.


  2. At the morning, your body is at its prime. Not only is your food digested, but you have less water retention (unless you have a disorder) as most swelling will go down and, if you lay on your stomach, you kind of "suck" it all in. It sounds dumb but when looking at abs, every little centimeter makes a difference. Because there is less fluid and gas, you are flat and hard. Unfortunately, this will go away when you eat.

    As far as making it look smaller, you can do a few things. Apart from the exercise and diet, you can always "suck" in. This is not advised for all long things, but lets say you are wearing a bikini and need to look flat for a few seconds to get in the pool, this works. They also make these things that Oprah wears (and swears by) that literally sucks your belly in. Yet if you can see your abs in the morning, your best bet is exercise to tone up. Good luck
