How come it's not PARAMOUNT King's Dominion anymore???

Question

How come the theme park is just King's Dominion and not Paramounts Kings Dominion? And like all the Paramount film ride names all changed.. like The Italian Job changed to Backlot?

The park is currently owned by Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, and was part of the former Paramount Parks chain that Cedar Fair acquired from CBS Corporation on June 30, 2006.

Cedar Fair purchased the Paramount park chain back in 2006.  They've been working with all of the parks (Kings Island, Kings Dominion, Carowinds, Canada's Wonderland) to get rid of the Paramount themes this year.  

As much as we all love the movie memorabilia around the park, Paramount just couldn't take care of their parks that well.  Kings Dominion has fallen apart over the years.  Hopefully Cedar Fair can succeed in bringing it back from the dumps with the addition of Dominator (a Geauga Lake coaster from the now defunct park).
