How come it's okay for my boyfriend to talk to other girls, but it's not okay for me to talk to another guy?

When I talk to another guy, he rushes over and acts like were doing something wrong. But when he talks to a girl, who is obviously flirting with him, its okay??

A lot of boys are like that, its a male ego thing.  It offends their ego if you talk to another boy (even though you're not flirting, they're paranoid you're going to).  Whereas it boosts his ego when other girls flirt with him.  Perhaps if, whenever he talks to a girl, you imitate him, complaining the same way he does, and using his exact words, maybe he'll stop doing it.

Either of you should be able to speak to whomever you desire, as long as the conversation is appropriate. Silly double standards like that just don't work...perhaps he's not a good match for you dear. Doesn't sound mature enough for dating.

well if he is your boyfriend you should be able to trust him and he should trust you maybe talk to him. my boyfriend and i have had this discussion many times.

he is being controlling, jealous and does not have confidence in your relationship. yet its ok for him because he is showing off. if he continues this way i think you will get sick of it and it will get worse therefore you are wasting your time. he will not change so you have to ask are you going to be happy with him.

You're right, this is NOT fair. If he finds it justified for himself to talk to girls who are flirting with him, it should definitely be okay for you to have a regular conversation with other guys, so long as you aren't flirting. You and your boyfriend need to communicate about this, because it is a problem and could potentially hurt your relationship now or in the future.
