How come it is so tabuu for me to play yugioh?

why does everyone around me think that because im 15, i shouldnt be playing yugioh.. i only play the game, im not like a crazy addict that just buys cards for the heak of it. It just bothers me that i cant enjoy something openly without being ridiculed for it. I guess its worse because im still in highschool... but why is it such a bad thing? i mean, in the end everyone has a hobby of somesort that others think isnt the best, like i may not like football, but i dont tell football players that it is, for example, g*y to run after other guys so u can jump on them for a ball.. it just bothers me..

Dude if  u want to play it, then PLAY IT! If i did everything i was told Id go insane. They even had a yugioh club at my highschool and if you do tournaments you can win cool stuff. So forget them and be yourself. I use to play yugioh when it first came out but then they made way to many decks. I dont really like the new ones but it still is the best card game to play.

No, well for me, that is. I play Yugioh at High School and no one really cares if you play or not, though I am pretty angry at the Library for prohibiting Card Games because it "increases the chance of gambling". Geez.

Anyway to your question, it doesn't matter if you play Yugioh, if anyone calls you a nerd or a crazy addict, then that person is just a total idiot who likes to make a fool of themselves or so. Besides that, people decide to hate Yugioh because they think (not me) that the show is based for little kids and it's old like Pokemon, or so, and people would dissed them as bad as Teletubbies.

I don't really care about what other people think about Yugioh. If I play the game, if someone calls me the total nerd or something, they are dead meat. Heck I am 16 and I STILL play Yugioh. :D

same situation here, man

got a bunch of people on my back about a card game, i reply with how much i win from local tournaments and they shut up about my being a little kid for playing yugioh right away.

i go to alot of card tourneys and i see people in there 20's and 30's so who cares what oothers think.

Hey at 15 there are worse things you could be doing, if you enjoy it, s***w what others say.

Some folks like to categorize things by age ,but a lot of older people like things that others said they should have outgrown.
