How come mexicos version of spanish was changed so much ?

I've heard from people that speak spanish complain that the mexican version of spanish is so butchered they sometimes say there not speaking spanish there speaking mexican is it really that much different

Because when the Spaniards colonized Mexico and other South American countries they adopted some words from the native people. It's the same reason why American English is not the same as Britain's English. Spain has a more pure version of Spanish because they had no reason to adopt other words into their language.

Well I'm mexican and the spanish that i speak is proper. It depends where the mexican person is from because every town or city in mexico speaks differently. For the girl that said andale and stuff like that i only know that some poor mexicans use that type of language and I'm not being mean towards them but poorer people use that type of word. and i agree with the dude big sky 23 everyone has their own version of spanish like dominicans puerto ricans etc. and the chick autumn is right the spanish from spain is more pure. But for some reason out of all the countries that speak spanish that is not spain people always tell me oh your mexican you have the best spanish as in its close to what the spanish from spain use out of all the countries colonized by them. but lol this is the same for every country like people are saying. Everyone who speaks the same language says that someone else's spanish isn't as good as others or is better. but it doesn't matter since everyone is different including the languages its all variations.

Not really, it's just the accent and choices of words they use that are different. Like the difference between American English, British English, and Australian English. But some types of accents are more difficult for outsiders to pickup, even if you know Spanish or English.

It's like saying some people don't speak English, they speak American (or they speak Texan, or southern, or New York, or Californian). Just the accent and choice of words.

Nearly every Spanish speaking country has a very distinct Spanish, much like every English speaking country.   Speak to a Spanish speaker, in Miami or NYC where there are large populations of different native spanish speakers.  They will probably tell you, I can hardly understand Agentinians, or I cant understand Dominicans, or Cubans sound like whatever.   If you talk to someone directly from Spain, theyd probably say they can hardly understand any of them.

This is much the same as Australia, Great Britain, Irish English, and the US.  Every single one of them speak a very distinct English, and often other countries have difficulty understanding another.   h**l, even within the US borders, there is something like 10-15 distinct versions of English.
