How come movie popcorn is so much better the popcorn you buy?

What do they do to make movie popcorn taste so much better then the horrid popcorn you buy and put in the microwave.

Do they buy a certain popcorn... if so what kind do they buy?

I think that movie theater popcorn is so good because every single kernel of corn is popped perfectly. Its popped to perfection, then falls down from the metal bowl thing, nice and hot. In combination with the exact right amount of butter, the popcorn tastes heavenly!

Also, never is a kernel ever burnt due to that fall-down method!

this might sound weird but i think it's better because they never clean the popcorn maker.....kind of like when you buy a new pan and they say you have to season it, the older the pan the better the food. same concept.

Don't buy microwave popcorn. Buy regular popcorn. It should be in the section right by the microwave popcorn. It's not that hard to make. Put some oil in a saute pan with a lid and get it hot, then just dump the popcorn in and cover. Shake the pan a little while it's popping. When the popping stops, dump it in a bowl, add salt and butter if you like, and enjoy. Fresh is always better than microwave anything.
