How come my arms hurt SOOOOOOO bad after cheerleading?

HeY!

I'm an ellite cheering team. The age group is like 6-14. We have 5 stunt groups, I'm 4'10 (height) and a base. We do elevator cradle and Express. Pretty Basic.But Anyway, after cheerleading my arms hurt SO Bad!

What is it?

I wanna keep cheering, so is there likea cure or something?

  1. I'm a flyer, so not much help, but MAKE SURE YOU'RE STRETCHED, It'll help a bunch. =D


  2. 4'10" and a base? I want to meet your flyers! LOL

    Seriously, see your doctor. Yes, you might have to sit out stunting or tumbling for a few weeks to rest up, but that is far better than damaging yourself further and risking sitting out the whole season.

  3. just make sure u stretch and try to build up ur arm strength so it doesnt hurt as much. do push ups and lift weights. good luck:)

  4. Cheer leading sucks, so, I can't really answer this question.

  5. Well, it is b/c maybe your arms arent used to that much exersize or movment at one time. It takes time for them to get used to it.

  6. Workout, lift weights maybe twice a week and then increase it every couple of weeks.

    I am a backspot and we lifted weights and it helped alot for everyone on the sqaud.
