  1. I think your best bet would be what another poster said and take it to a mechanic...they can tell you. Just maybe get some opinions on where is a good place to go around where you live. Maybe it's the starter.

  2. Without more info, there's no way to tell.  It could be the fuel pump, or a loose wire, or a worn muffler bearing for all we know.  You can try swapping out the fuel pump, but if that's not it, you'll have to either try some other part, or just take it to a mechanic and have it fixed by a professional.  That might be cheaper in the long run any way.

  3. check to make sure its getting fuel into the carb or fuel rail up to the throttle body if so then fuel pump is ok next check for spark from the coil or pull off the number one plug wire put a s***w driver into it and while you crank it hols s***w driver handle and have the medal part of the s***w driver very close to a clean piece of metal on the engine and see if spark jumps from the s***w driver to the block it should be a strong multiple of sparks if not coil could be bad if so coil is good engine should be getting the spark you need around 12-14 volts if its a newer dodge try changing the crank positioning sensor whenthat part goes bad it stops the spark to distributor and also will stop your fuel pump from pumping fuel i went threw this with my sons truck before you spend bunches of money on parts you need to test them to make sure they are working or not otherwise you will spend a fortune eliminating eatch thing my son change fuel pump cam sensor plugs wires cap rotor coil relays and he went to mechanics school hahahha told him change crank sensor he said dad i put enough money im done with this truck he bought a new car the truck sat in his garage while he was doing some training for the army a year later i went to visit him i said change the crank sensore he argued with me it cant be that finaly he took my advise change it and he came to me said dad your the man should have listend to you a while ago well know atleast everything in the truck is new  good luck

  4. Hi There!

Does your car sound like it wants to start? If it sounds like it wants to start then it isn't your starter, but if it doesn't make a budge what so ever, check your starter out. If it is getting a little bit of power, but not very much, it may be your alternator. You can go to any car shop or Canadian Tire, and get a combo Battery and alternator, tester. If it says that your alternator and battery are both good and okay, it may be a wiring issue. Check your wires and replace the one that are no good. It could be your fuel pump as well, or maybe you fuel line, have them checked out, and look for leaks, I hope this helps, and the best of luck!

  5. there are only 3 things that will kill a car, with a 4th that affects it.

    1.  no gas.  if gas is getting to the cylinders, you don't have a fuel pump issue.

    2.  no spark.  there must be spark to have fire.

    3.  no air.  there must be air getting there too.  find out which one isn't there, and find out why.

an oil issue can also lock up the motor.

  6. if it turns over but dont crank id try checking for spark first or replace the fuel filter.. you could always pull the fuel line at carb or thottdle body and give it a crank or two and see if its pumping

  7. Dude either put more information about what it's doing or don't expect to get a valid answer ; )

  8. how old is it...?
