...but nothing is actually drying? Everything appears to be hooked up in the back as well.

  1. Theres a black belt that runs around the outside of the bowl inside the machine. The belt will have either come lose or snapped. The bowl isnt spinning but the heat is still working.

This is a problem that can be fixed without the need to spend money on it.  If u take the machine apart and put the belt back in its proper position. Or if its snapped ... order a new belt. It can be fitted by yourself ... you may need 2 spend time doing this as it can be a bit frustrating.

P.S Dont tell me im wrong. Im always right cos im american. thank you.

  2. Try two things:

    1. Make sure that the lint trap is cleaned out.

    2. Make sure that you don't have the dryer setting on "air fluff".

Place it on the "timed dry" setting.

  3. Make sure there is not a build up of lint in the vent pipe.  That can also cause a fire.

  4. Clean the lint trap in the dryer and then clean the entire lint vent all the way from where it connects to the dryer to the outside opening; be sure to clean down inside where the lint trap goes into the machine as well. There are flexi brush kits for this purpose and I've seen them at Wal-Mart. We had the same problem with our dryer and that was the culprit.
