How come my computer keeps going to sleep?

it keeps going to sleep even after i change the settings to never sleep! it goes to sleep in about 15 to 30 minutes! sometimes it goes to sleep permanently! like after it sleeps for about 1 hour the light on the tower is still on indicating that it is still on, but it wont go off sleep mode! why do both these things happen? it runs on windows vista 2007, also a hp m8300f model

    Settings

    Control panel

    Display icon

    Screen saver tab

    Click power tab

    Change the times to never on all settings

  3. you need to adjust you power management setting under control panel

    go to control panel, power option, on the left hand side select "change when computer sleeps"

  4. right click on main screen, hit personalize, then click on screen saver then click the little link at the bottom left corner titled change power settings... then click on never on both tabs then save!
