my guinea pig died after we moved him outside. He's usually an indoor guinea. Does the movement somehow affect it? He was healthy, normal weight, and was only 2 years old.

  1. I'm real sorry about your gunea pig, I had one that I put outside too, and fenced him in with chicken wire, he lived for a long time out there, so as far as yours being only 2 and they live from 4-7 years, there had to have been something else that contributed to it's demise, was he/she directly in the sun?  if so that would have done it, or maybe it got into some poisoneous grass, I don't know what kind of grass, but I do know some plants aren't good.  anyway, I'm sorry it happened.

  2. I am really sorry your guine died :( such a shame :( sorrry x

Anyway it could have been the temprature change, something could have scared it like a loud noise and given it a heart attack

    ORR

that was the time it was ment to go :(

sorry to hear about the death :(

  3. well yes the heat, dehydration, no shade maybe.

  4. it could be that he wasnt vacinated or it could be shck to alound noise or something hittin the hutch/run like a fox or badger or i could b the stress of living inddors and goin outside sos it happened

  5. Stress, might of had a heart attack if there was loud noises, might of caught a disease if he wasn't vaccinated

  6. because you cruelly shoved him out side, it was either too hot or too cold for him. Plus you kept him on his own which is cruel :(

  7. maybe you shouldnt have put him outside

  8. Two years old is a young piggie and if he was healthy, it was probably one or more of several factors:

    1. Too hot or too cold (I don't know where you live).

    2. Stress

    3. Undetected respiratory infection.

Guinea pigs are not meant to be outdoor animals. They need a fairly constant temperature of 70-75 degrees fahrenheit.

  9. it died because it was either too hot or too cold. my neibor put her hamsters outside and they died the next day.

  10. Sometimes when you move animals into a different enviroment it really affects them. He was probably scared. Sorry that he died
