  1. He probably just wants to be put down. That is what happened with my hamster but he started biting after like 20 seconds lol.

  2. You haven't mistreated him but, has someone else. It sounds like to me he is just saying to you "put me down". Some animals don't like being held for long and this is the only way they have to communicate.

  3. maybe som1 else treated him bad so only hold him for short periods and he might be scared of heights

ps my dog bites too... and he's enormous

  4. same thing with my sisters dwarf hamsters she had two now theres six i hope these ones are nice haha well i hear they are territorial

  5. leave the poor thing alone for a couple weeks to get more used to you

    it takes time

    trust takes time be patient

feed the hamster gently over time

hamsters are smarter than many of the people i have met over my life

    a hamster

    - is inquisitive

    - seldom bites the hand that feeds it ( after time and training)

    - you give it food - it puts it in the corner to save it

more common sense than many of the people that you will ever meet

    be patient

  6. teddys got spunk (h) .. i dont think it wants to be held .. just let it be :S mabye it'll mind less once it settles in :|
