How come my movie isn't showing up on the iPod Touch?

I just got the iPod touch and I put a movie on it but when I try to watch the movie the screen is blank.

Restart your iPod by holding the sleep button and the home button at the same time until the screen goes blank! Wait for a few seconds, then turn on the iPod! If that doesn't work, open itunes with your iPod plugged in! Go to file, then click sync ipod touch or something like that name!
