How come my period came in 4 days earlier?

i had my last period AUG 2,2008..and since my cycle is usually 28-30 days i was expecting my period to be on Aug 30-sept 1 but then i just had a period 4days earlier than expected!! i just had my period aug 26..should i be worried? how come i only have 23days cycle? i've read from various books that menstrual period varies from 23-35 days..but still im worried....

periods never stay the same.  It can be many things, medicines, "prescriptions or otc", things you eat, etc.

As long as you're not having severe pains you should be fine.

you probably ovulated earlier this month, that's why you are having your period earlier..dont worry, it's absolutely normal.
