How come my playstation 3 wont download call of duty 4 update.?

Ok so i got cod4 today and i wanted to play online but i had to download an update. But about half way through the update it says an error has occured. Can anyone help me i really wanna play this online. It also says cant conect with activison matchmaking (33)
