Question:

How come my towel rack will not "hook" onto the wall anchors?

I have set the mounts exactly like the diagram but whenever I try to hook the mounting brackets to the wall anchors, (so I can s***w in the tiny s***w at the bottom) it keeps sliding off the wall anchors.

What am I doing wrong?

  1. sounds like you might have the screws screwed in too far. the head of the s***w should be backed off the bracket to expose only as much of the s***w shaft as the thickness of the mounting plate on the back of the towel bar. That way the s***w head holds the towel bar. Also make sure the towel bar is not upside down. the smaller part of the hole should be up so that when you slide it down, it grabs the s***w.

    Hope that helps.

  2. i'm guessing your set s***w isn't getting behind the mounting bracket. back the bracket screws off a touch or use a pliers to bend the bottom flange out a hair. easy peasy.
