How come my xbox 360 dashboard keeps on going to the xbox live screen?

Question

when ever i turn my xbox 360 on the dashboard keeps on going to the xbox live screen? how can i stop it from doing that? I have once tryed connecting to xbox live via router but it never worked.

please help.

if ur talkin about u want ur xbox to start up a game as soon as u hit the power button then just go to the console settings from the dashboard (which would be all the way to the right on the last screen) and got to the on start up part and select start on disc. then ur done!!!

you can only connect to live if you have a xbox live account.  also if you connected it to a router then changes are you have to configure the 360.  Your 360 is set up to sign in one the 360 loads the dash.  No fear.  You can change this setting.  press the live button (in the middle of the controller with the lights)  when your profiles blade shows up  highlight your mini gamercard at the top. click A. then go down to auto sign-in.  And go to disable and click A and DA TA your done
