How come my xbox 360 does not allow me to make a new profile?

well, a new profile that qualifies for the free 1 month of xbox live? i can make one fine but it doesnt say that i qualify for a 1 month trial of xbox live like it did before. does each xbox have a certain limit of how many profiles can be created?

you can create as many profiles as you like but you will only be eligible for the free trial gold membership on the first 3..sorry
