How come my young son always does this?

Has your little boy ever put his hand down inside the front of his pants on the front of his tighty whities for a couple/few seconds after he has been given a spanking?

My son does that,after the spanking is finished,he will put his hand down inside the front of his pants on the front of his tighty whities (like he is feeling them) for a couple seconds then remove it,I think it is weird he does that,why would he be doing that?

I imagine the spanking could cause a little discomfort in his groin - or private parts.  The spanking hurts where you get him, but it probably radiates to his front - especially if he tightens up his bottom getting ready for the pop!  At 3 and 1/2 he is old enough for you to ask him why he does that.  He will probably tell you!  Good luck!  It is a tough age!

I would limit the spankings. Time out corner is a good punishment too. No, my son has never done that after a spanking. He hates spankings. He gets them very seldom. I find Time out corner is more effective and communicating to them because at 3 years old they should understand a lot and speak a lot.

it is just a natural instinct for boys to do that but he more than likely was nervous and he was checking to see if he wet himself

My 3 year old does the same thing. It is a sensory issue. A nervous habbit. You need to replace that habbit with a favorite toy of activity for him. Keep his mind busy and constantly challenged and you will see this habbit disappear. Best Wishes!

I HAVE 5 BOYS, TRY AND GET AWAY FROM SPANKING (I STILL SPANK BUT ONLY WHEN VERY NEEDED)  I HAVE MY BOYS PUT THEIR NOSE ON THE WALL WITH HANDS BEHIND THEIR BACK, AND NOT ALLOWED TO TALK.  WORKS GREAT.

If you are spanking his bottom, while he is bent over, it is possible that you may have accidentally hit his testicles! Be careful, and try to ask him, next time if you hurt it/them.
