I mean, Bernie Mac WAS Chicago!! I think CLTV carried a snippet of it but man some station should've showed the whole thing! Bernie Mac was a Chicago Icon and it's a shame that one of the 3 major networks (ABC/WLS, NBC/WMAQ, or CBS/WBBM) didn't carry his memorial live!! I mean, freakin' Animal Planet carried Steve Irwin's memorial service live! Why no love for the Mac man in his own city?

R.I.P Bernie Mac.

Shame on you Chicago TV!!!

  1. Guess he didn't have too many fans or something. I didn't find out about his death till I read an answer about "is the rumor of Bernie Mac's death true?" and looked it up.

The news generally only puts up things that will get many viewers. It's all about the Capitalism...

    R.I.P. Bernie Mac

  2. Probably because there was no body. In all the pics shown, I didn't see a casket. My guess is the Mac Man was cremated.

  3. It's not like he was the friggin' President.  Why would any TV station want to give up advertising revenue to televise a comedians funeral.

No offense to Bernie, but he wasn't "Chicago" in the north side.

  4. maybe it was a private affair, his family might not have wanted it televised
