How come nowadays everything's more and more expensive... and yet the minimum wage is still the same?

the BC min. wage is $8, many people have tried to petition for it to go up to $10, but the dumbass gordon campbell dont give a shlt

while raising the prices of everything. and recently added some carbon tax on top of high gas prices, starting july 1

how do people live on $8

  1. People don't live on $8 an hour... that is why people are so broke and so much in debt in this country...


  2. The prices of products are rising because of transportation and production costs being on the rise.

    Minimum wage hasn't risen in accordance because of several factors.  Part of it is that these increases have to be voted on and that takes more time than oil companies saying "you're gonna pay more for gas tomorrow"  Also, raising the minimum wage weakens our dollar on the global market so it's done with reservation.  The best option is going to be to get the price of oil DOWN not the wages UP.
