How come on madden 09 wii theres a white dot over the recievers?

there a white dot over the recievers and i cant choose a reciever. the tutorial says use the directional buttens but there not on the reciever. please tell me how to fix this if there is a way 2

your in the all play mode of madden

when your on the controller select screen, press 1 to de-select it
