  1. mmmmm In N Out thats what a hamburgers all about.

  2. BlueBooo, we do have Dairy Queen in California and also Sonic.

Around the U.S. each different region seems to have a burger chain that doesn't exist in the other parts of the country.

  3. In and Out is a family owned business and prides itself on freshness as their food is never frozen.  For this reason, they only ship food by truck and therefore it can only go a certain distance from their headquarters in Southern California.  Consequently, only California, Arizona, Nevada, and southern Utah have the restaurants because it would be infeasible to put them any other place.  Also, they do not sell franchises which makes it harder to expand.

As for my favorite meal when I am super hungry:

Double Double ketchup only, French Fries, and a Strawberry Shake

If I am not as hungry, I will leave out the fries and/or shake.

  4. The same reason they only have White castle in the east.

  5. I think because its a family owned business which was started in California, they are not a franchise. Notice how when you go to In n out no matter what time it is always really busy....I guess they are smart because if they had locations all over they would not do as well. They know people will drive to a far location to get a burger and people from out of state want to try it to bad when they go to CA where do they eat...In n out.

  6. texas doesnt have any :'( ............but we have dairy queen and whataburger.....you got that over there??

  7. Not an answer but they are also in Nevada as well.

  8. As far as I know they are only in CA., Nevada and Arizona....Guess the family that owns it already has enough money...

  9. I heard they're building some in Texas now... My husband used to like In 'n Out, but then decided he liked Carl's Jr. much better.  They have burgers & spicy chicken sandwiches for $1 that are as good as In 'n Out, and their criss-cut fries are great ... but those are mainly in CA too.  ... Another restaurant that's primarily in CA is Marie Callender's....
