How come only dudes like the three stooges? why do chicks hate them?

to me the stooges are the funniest comedy team in history. when i was growing up my brothers and dude friends loved watching moe, larry, curly and shemp slap each other around on tv. we were rolling on the floor laughing. but my sister and her chick friends couldn't stand them. they'd leave the room making some snotty remark when we had them on. and every chick i've known since then hated the three stooges. don't you chicks know quality comedy when you see it?

I really loved the the three stooges !!  I used to watch them with my mom, dad and my brother !!  There was a marathon on when I was about the age of 11 and we recorded the whole marathon on a video tape !!  I still would love to watch them !!  (Curly fan)

Well, I've never really seen them, they don't get shown on the TV in the UK very much.  I'm more of a Marx Brothers fan myself.

Excellent query. I've pretty much assumed that if a woman doesn't enjoy slapstick comedy it's just in her nature. It's why there really can't be a female Jim Carrey or a successful and hilarious heterosexual female standup comedian... It makes absolutely no sense to me, but it's very interesting. I think it's because women just can't get away with that sort of stuff. Three chicks in a line hitting each other is seen more s**y than funny.

Dude I love the three stooges! I remember they use to give it when I was 5, I always watched it before I had to go to bed.

Some women don't know comedy! How do they not think it's funny. The three stooges were actually based on real people so they made episodes about them.

I love comedy and a good sense of humor is essential for me in a mate or friend.  I do not care for the slapstick comedy style of the three stooges, its just not my style of funny.  We all have our own taste in many things in life.

Obviously untrue-as a number of women who answered your question said they love the 3 stooges and at least one man so far said he hates them.

I hate the 3 stooges because anyone can bash someone else on the head-I find it moronic and boring and violent-not funny; plus I was taught that I shouldn't laugh at people who were stupid. It takes intelligence and wit to make me laugh.
