How come only your fingers and toes get prune in the shower and nothing else does?

  4. Your hands and the bottoms of your feet are more "water permeable" than the rest of your body because they have more sweat glands in them but no oil glands. So when you expose them to water, and even more so with hot water, for extended periods, the water will begin to go back in just as it is able to come out. When the skin soaks up enough water, which sometimes isn't very much, it begins to expand and prune.

    Weather along with humidity and also a persons age has a lot to do with how quickly the skin becomes waterlogged.
