  1. After the passage of UIGEA it became difficult for many sites to find reliable payment processors so they pulled out of the US market. This did not make online poker illegal only the processing of payments to the sites. So basically you can still play poker but no credit card company or bank is suppose to help you transfer money to or from the site.

The two largest sites are PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker and they both accept US customers. There are payment processors that act as intermediaries which allow you to fund the account and cash out. After years of being fairly stable first with PayPal and then with Neteller that last many years the more recent history has been more of six months to a year and a half before a payment processor stops doing gaming transactions. The most recent loss was ePassporte which stopped doing gaming transaction a few weeks ago.

This shouldn't scare you though as all sites will send you cheques as a last resort they just take longer than a electronic transfer. Also a new electronic payment processor always pops up when there is a failure. Epassporte has already been replaces by eChecks.

  2. Because they dont accepts americans. The best site that accepts USA players is http://bettingwise.hit.bg/FulltiltPoker....

Read the review, its absolutely legal and you can deposit via e-check. This is your only deposit option as well as some visa gift cards, thats because the banks in USA make it hard to deposit into gambling site

  3. Internet gambling is illegal in the US, and it is illegal for an overseas company to accept bets from a resident of the United States. Last year, the US either toughened the law or stepped up enforcement, so now it is virtually impossible to find a poker site that will accept bets from US residents. Even most of the payment companies used by online casinos (Firepay, Neteller, and others) will not accept accounts based in the United States.

One of the few remaining companies that will accept US accounts - at least last time I checked - was bodog. www.bodoglife.com

  4. Because Pacific poker stopped allowing US players several years ago when the US cracked down on Neteller and online gambling.
