How come people are seemingly unable to spell correctly?

Really, How come that the great majority of questions asked and answered have blatant spelling errors or do not even use the real words.

it's one of my pet peeves. and i don't understand it because the spell check button is right under their nose!! i just refuse to use upper-case letters on purpose.

Some people are lazy. Some make legitimate mistakes. Some do it to look cool.

I have always been a horrid speller. I use spell check, but it doesn't always catch everything.

Because people can't be bothered to care anymore.

Texting and IM have given people a way to use wrdz tht r rly shrt - I know, I know... - so it pops up everywhere. And people forget how words are actually spelled.

Makes me wonder what is being taught in schools, these days...

That's the way things go on the internet - and outside it, too (boo, hiss), I'm afraid.

When my friends sending me a message, i can't understand what their message because i did not use a shortcut! I think they do that to become easy and faster sending message or questions! it is my opinion.
