How come people talk badly behind her back, but still act friendly?

most of the people that went to my friend's birthday get together all talk badly behind her back, yet they still act like they like her.

i'm confused. haha :]

let ur friend know that they talk about her.

depends, if they are just being nice to her face, they probably just wanna gossip without confrotation, but if theyre acting like they're best friends, inviting her everywhere they may just wanna make her look stupid.

because they listen to heresay, gossip, and partake in drama character assaination. they do not know her then they try to cover up their behavior by pretending to be nice to her. she probally already knows if she is intuitive. she can be nice to them knowing what they truly do behind her back because she knows they do not truly know her. so she probally has compassion for them and feels pity for them because they create hate inside themselves that has no truth behind what they say. she probally says nothing in her own defense because she knows it will only feed their hate, gossip, drama character assasination. she probally feels that if a person is truly to know her they will not listen to what others say & they will take the time to get to know her by blocking out what others try to predetermine in regards to who she truly is.

Its just a weird thing. People have their reasons, though none of them are good. There's no good reason to badly behind someones back, especially if they went to this persons party.

Some people enjoy drama. Or really do hate her. They could be going with the flow, saying they hate her only because someone else does, and they don't want to be the odd one out. Who knows.

But talking behind her back is only going to come back at them.
