they want to make sure your alright. they worry about everything so that your safe. If they aren't around they feel something bad could happen to you. Once your older they will let you go more til you become an adult and let you spread your wings.

i use to hate my parents for the very same thing...now I'm 23 and I have a 3 year old...i'm learning...

the little bundle of joy that I carried inside of me from a tiny speck to birth, that I layed on my belly every day to measure his growth,is such a wonderful person. he no longer just fits on my belly infact he is about half the lenght of me! I want him to discover new things  on his own yet I don't want him to go about it the wrong way and suffer or pay for it later in life. I know I can tell him everything I've learnt in life and he will not listen full and therefore will not learn until he has made the mistakes but as his parent I'm gonna give my advice and opinion when where I feel I need to. I love him every much and I only want the very best for him...i think it was summed up well when keith urban said "life is a balance of holding on and letting go". one day you will thank them

Parents just want to make sure that you are safe. When they feel that you have earned their trust and that you know how to make good decisions, they'll let you go to more places on your own or with just your friends.
