I always see them run red lights and travel over the speed limit! It's not fair!

  1. they do get stopped and issued tickets.

here if a bus driver is convicted of a moving violation he is terminated.

  2. They just don't get caught. Trust me, they DO get stopped. Sometimes, there's a special traffic police agency that specifically gives the bus drivers citations.

I've been on buses where the driver got stopped for speeding.

Also, 1 time, there was this 1 bus driver who kept slamming on the breaks & running stop signs.

  3. thats a good question and i agree with you.  i see them violate a butt load of traffic laws.  we dont see any buses where i work.. its in the middle of no where, not like the city, however..... i did issue a cite to a bus for not having snow chains on when the chains required sign was up... if that makes you feel better.

  4. Really? We have a lot of metro buses run through our city, most are generally fairly safe drivers (their career depends on it). However, if they do break the law, we will take necessary enforcement action.

  5. They DO get pulled over and cited.  However like the millions of other traffic violations that occur everyday, they just aren't always caught.

  6. They don't? Well that blows! I am outraged.Lol

  7. It depends on the location/venue.  In Los Angeles they do get pulled over from time to time.
