How come sheep don't shrink when it rains?

I mean afterall they are covered in shrinky wool.

  1. The wool worn by humans is from a sheep, but in effect, it is dead. While sheep are bearing the wool it is attatched to them like hair or fur, and is alive and recieving nutrients from the sheeps body. It already has a sufficient amount of water running through it, so when it rains, no more is "added".
