How come smart people all have glasses eg nerds and geeks?

im sitting in a office write now and i just noticed all the computer programmers have glasses theres about 7of them

people who are smart tend to be people who read alot which can strain the eyes, causing eyesight to decrease and resulting in the need for glasses. or i suppose it could just be a coincidence

It's because a lot of computer programmers spend tons of time in front of a computer and working on them, so their sight eventually goes bad.. And not all people that are geeks, nerds or whatever else have glasses.. it just seems like it.

Nerds and Geeks are computer freaks and want to look the part, a lot of them just use plain glass, that's not saying they are all smart, take a look again in their eyes and see if they enlarge

uh not all of them. i know some pretty dumb kids who have glasses. and i know some cool kids who have glasses. they dont define you. its just what you wear. no biggie.

Glasses are very common and it's not surprising that there are quite a few people with them. What I think happens is the "cool" people don't want to be seen as "dorks who wear glasses" so they get contacts instead. Where the geeks just don't care.

Most smart people I know have glasses, , these people read A LOT and develop a near sight.

(BTW I have started to read a LOT like 4 hrs everyday for my college and I am seeing a decrease in my vision.)

Because we fall asleep reading frequently and hate waking up with nasty dried up contacts in our eyes.

That's why I don't wear contacts, anyway. Plus, it bothers me that they move when I blink.
