How come some American cartoons make fun of Canada?

I really dont understand... some of the shows on nickelodeon like the "fairy odd parents" love to make fun of canada...like just now i saw this episode where the genie NORM said " Time to mess with Canada *the country*...they had it good for too long." and "I'm gonna get you timmy, and you too Canada!"...And other cartoons are somewhat like that too...why is that?

American's hate Canada because we have it way better off in Canada. Canada does not try to start fights with other countries. We only got pulled into Afganistan because of America.

Don't take it seriously, it's all in fun.

American cartoonists make fun of everything...have you looked at how they poke fun at our elected officials.  

I know that most of us consider Canada to be an important friendly country.

Because we (Americans) love Canada even though they do not return the sentiment. So we josh them a bit. All in good fun.
