  1. That's a very difficult question to answer. In some ways it's like asking why some people don't win the lottery.

It's not just about talent, experience, professional credits - a lot of it is being in the right place at the right time, having the right connections, and being noticed by the right people. Sometimes getting "discovered" is just about luck - because it is very difficult to create those kind of opportunities all by yourself.

I've seen other questions on here asking about how to become a "successful" actor. Successful is relative - and it doesn't necessarily mean you have to become famous in order to be considered successful. There are many many professional actors out there who are successful because they can entirely support themselves by acting. Just because they are not household names, doesn't mean they aren't successful. Many have brilliant careers and are amazing actors.

You never really know which way your career will go - you can decide which  jobs that are offered to you you will take, but you don't usually get to decide which company you're going to work with unless you're already of the caliber that they'd be asking for you.

If you have your eyes only on Disney, you may miss out on other wonderful opportunities that come your way. Really, all you can do as an actor is to put yourself out there, go to as many auditions you can, work hard on every project you do, do good work, be kind and easy to work with, make connections - and more jobs will come. You never know what opportunities are just around the corner - and by doing things you may discover there are thing out there you never knew about that you love more than Disney. Let yourself be open to growth and new experiences. Be genuinely dedicated to the craft of acting as opposed to the pursuit of fame - and people will notice.

  2. Oh, right, you can just walk in and sign with Disney!  There are not very many jobs for one thing.  People don't want to work hard to be prepared to be actors.  The industry is constipated with too many under prepared, untalented wannabes. The industry is infected with too many scams, too many acting schools that seem like they make people into stars and none of them do that.  Only a very few people are born with enough talent to be a professional actor.

  3. Some people aren't necessarily undiscovered, they may still be in the process of getting discovered. In this industry, it takes tenacity, determination, commitment, and loads of talent. And for Disney to want to sign you and invest millions into you; You have to be a triple threat, which means you have to be able to sing (rap, if you can't), act, and dance including other special skills. That's what they want now and a lot of people don't have that or don't want to work hard enough to have all those talents. So stay focused, take the classes you need, and go for it.

  4. Because it's very hard to get discovered.  Producers and casting directors can be very picky and reject you for the smallest of reasons even if you are talented.  Your best bet is to start small and work your way up.

  5. because in that industry its all about WHO YOU KNOW! either way, if that's your goal or dream then never hurts to try, and with real good talent you are bound to get discovered! so good luck!
