  1. It feels like someone sticks you with a lit cigarette: searing pain that is gone in an instant. BUT, let me warn you. I was told by the guy who pierced my belly button that the belly button is the area most prone to infection. Of course, I blew it off and pierced it anyway. About a month later, terrible infection! Had to take the thing out just to get some relief. ALSO, right after it is done, make no plans of bending at the waist AT ALL. I couldn't even get up off the couch w/o help b/c it was too painful to even move that area for a few days.

  2. Because some people don't think any thing hurts at all. Or they are not sensitive on their some people are really sensitive on their skin.

  3. Because everybody is different. Some have more pain tolerance than others. and sometimes people will work up their minds to think it hurts more than it really does because they are so scared... that happnd 2 me.. if you wanna get it done i say do it n dont be nervous it makes it alot worst than it really is

  4. All depends on the persons pain tolerance to be exact. Just like saying that about child birth some may say it was fairly painful while others needed as many drugs as they could. Just depends. My reaction OUCH!

  5. everyone's different.

    really, thats what it is.

i mean, i saw people on this site saying it was painless, so when i went to get it done a month and a half ago i was like 'oh, i'll be fine!' but really, it hurt pretty badly for me. ultimately bearable (obviously) but still really painful.

i've heard that it can depend on how thick people's skin it, or how tight their abs are, yadda yadda, but all it comes down to is- people are different, and have different tolerance for pain.

if youre considering it, but you're scared- just go for it anyways. its worth it =]

  6. For me it hurt a good amount but it was only for a second but my friend said it didn't hurt at all.

It really depends on how fast the person does it and how long it takes them to get the jewelery in. If you tend to swell quickly it'll hurt more compared to someone that doesn't swell a lot.

Don't let anyone try to freehand it. Make sure they mark it off and use a clamp if you're thinking about getting it done.

  7. it depends on how high your pain tolerance level is. for me, it really hurts because i don't have a high tolerance level. but for you, it could be completely painless.

  8. Because not everyone has the same pain tolerance.

  9. Everybody has different pain tolerance.

For me, i can't take pain at all, it just hurts.

  10. It really doesn't hurt at all as long as you don't hold your breath because if you hold your breath the muscles in your stomach tighten but as long as you breath in and out you cant even feel it and even if you do hold your breath it doesn't hurt anymore than getting your ear pierced

  11. it depends on what they're pain tolerance is like, and if they know what to expect, also its got to do with the body, the skinnier you are the more it will hurt
