How come some subtitles in movies appear in italics?

I'm not sure what you're talking about.  None of the subtitles on my movies are italicized.

Italics in subtitles means the dialogue is coming from someone who is speaking off-screen.  For example a telephone conversation - the person's dialogue on the other end of the line would be shown in italics, while the person on screen would be normal.
