Question:

How come students in America get to wear what they want, and British schools have to wear uniform... also...?!

i go to a British school, and i have worn uniform for the whole of my school life - which is almost finished!!

how come, in Britain we have to wear uniform, and in America you can decide what to wear?

also, in Britain, we can leave school when we are 16. i heard that you can only leave school in America when you are older, is this true??

  1. Every school has their own set of rules regarding uniforms. Many public schools are adopting the uniform policy were many private schools have always required a uniform.

    A persons age does not determine if they can leave school. Most are 18 when they graduate from high school but their are exceptions.

    On one hand some students have proven to be very gifted and have been able to graduate and move on to college earlier than 18. On the other hand, some students prove to not have any ambition or vision about their education and dropout without ever finishing.

    Thus is the plight and advantages of living in a free society. You have to take responsibility if you plan on being successful. Those who don't, fail and those who do, perform much better.

  3. uhh...where i am everybody has uniform and yeas it's in America... i live in  lower Alabama and i've worn uniforms my entire life. some schools are lucky enough to not wear uniform but if u go to a private school uniform is mandatory no doubt.and you can drop out once you start going to high school but most people graduate when there 17 or 18.
