  1. because they have more sense then the bloody idiots running this country

  2. Switzerland is a neutral county and rich.  The Swiss enjoy all the benefits of having a classical democracy in which the people vote directly on all major issues.

The Swiss people guard their neutrality and who can blame them.

What benefit is there to Switzerland and the Swiss people in joining the chaotic and corrupt EU so despised by the British?

  3. There's nothing in it for them.

As a rich country they'd be net contributors, and there is the potential for European legislation in, for instance, freedom of information to undermine their lucrative private banking business.

Also, the Swiss constitution would require a referendum in favour before joining, and the Swiss people are not in favour.

  4. Because they`ve more sense than the rest of us.

  5. Because they don't see any good thing about the eu

  6. Switzerland is a neutral country

  7. Because their is no need. The alleged benefits from trade treaties do not materalise for the rest of the eu.

  8. Many Swiss believe EU membership would compromise their country's strict neutrality, and they fear decisions coming from Brussels would undermine Switzerland's system of direct democracy, in which voters have the final say on all major policies.

  9. Switzerland has an outstanding economy and it does not need the EU.

  10. The old saying goes "The Swiss are not neutral, they're indecisive".

They are EU members in all but name. They pay EU taxes, they share in the EU border system, they impliment all EU laws.

Someday, they'll want to send representative to the EU parliament to decide those laws.
