  1. Well AHB-VIOUSLY, their so called " WEIRD" pitch you say helped them WIN!!! WOOT WOOT, Korea vs USA was a good gamee. . .

  2. Is their technique they practice, which is often harder for the batter to hit!

  3. that is just how they were taught they probably think the way we pitch is weird

  4. Normally, East Asian pitchers are shorter and have less arm strength than western pitchers. So they were trained to hide the ball and have pulse in their delivery to mess up hitters timing rather than a smooth delivery.

They are not harder to hit once you know what you are dealing with. A smooth delivery usually has more power in the fast ball and better control. I still prefer the same old MLB pitching, power = swing and miss and that is the best thing you can have while pitching.

There are some MLB pitchers have some deceiving delivery as well. Tim Hudson hides his ball behind his head as long as he can so his deliver the ball a bit late to make his pitch lower couple inches. Tom Glavine hides his ball behind his body and has a very slow delivery and exaggerates turn but he is somehow very smooth. Greg Maddux has a very similar delivery to Asian pitchers to have a pulse in his delivery and hides his ball behind his head. Greg is a different breed to have a weird delivery but excellent control. I think his concentration a bit different than others.
